BCA Ten: Best Companies Supporting the Arts in America
The BCA Ten is a national list created by the Business Committee for the Arts, Inc. to recognize businesses of all sizes for their exceptional involvement with the arts. Nomination statements should address how the company supports the arts (e.g., leadership, long-term commitment, impact, addressing community needs, employee and customer involvement, and encouraging other companies to support the arts). Companies, large and small, that support the arts in the United States are eligible to apply. Tax-exempt not-for-profit organizations and companies in the BCA Hall of Fame or companies named to the BCA Ten in 2005, 2006, and 2007 are not eligible. Anyone (individual, arts organization, company employee) may nominate a company for the awards. Application Deadline: March 31, 2008.

Innovation Generation Grants
The Motorola Foundation will provide funding for Innovation Generation Grants to organizations that engage K-12 students and teachers in the U.S. in innovation, science, technology, engineering, and math. Funding priority will be placed on pioneering programs that engage students and teachers in innovative, hands-on activities; teach innovation and creative problem-solving skills; focus on girls and underrepresented minorities; engage Motorola employees as volunteers; take place in Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Massachusetts, New York, Pennsylvania, and Texas communities where Motorola has an employee presence; demonstrate measurable outcomes; and are less than two years old. Any U.S. nonprofit organization, school, or school district may apply. Grant applicants may request up to $100,000 each. Application deadline: March 1, 2008.

More Kids in the Woods Program
This agency-wide Forest Service call for proposals for "More Kids in the Woods" projects is part of a continuing effort to improve childrens’ health by reconnecting them with nature. Projects need to engage non-federal partners with at least a 1:1 match. Matching contributions may be in-kind or cash. Award ceiling: $500,000. Project proposals must be submitted to a Forest Service office or field unit by February 15, 2008.
