Upcoming Grants

ARCHITECTURAL CONSERVATION GRANTS: GETTY FOUNDATION
The Getty Foundation offers its Architectural Conservation Grants to support nonprofit organizations throughout the world in their efforts to preserve buildings, sites, and designed landscapes of outstanding architectural, historical, and cultural significance. Planning Grants assist in the initial development of overall conservation plans. Support is also available for the development of archaeological site management plans. Implementation Grants assist in the actual conservation of a building's historic structure and fabric. Organizations interested in applying should submit letters of inquiry at least two months prior to the April 10, 2008 application deadline. For more info, visit www.getty.edu/grants/conservation

COMMUNITY PROGRAM GRANTS: COMMUNITY FOUNDATION OF BROWARD
The Community Foundation of Broward is offers support for organizations whose programs make a difference in Broward County. Preference is given to programs that address gaps in services in at-promise communities or within underserved, disadvantaged populations, use collaborative models, or pursue strategies that address new or emerging needs or approach existing ones more effectively. COMMUNITY PROGRAM GRANTS: DADE COMMUNITY FOUNDATION
Dade Community Foundation is currently accepting applications for its 2008 Safe Passage: Youth Transitioning From Foster Care Initiative. Through this Request for Proposals the Foundation seeks to strengthen the array of community-based programs and resources that are not directly part of - but are working with - the state-funded child welfare system of care (i.e. Our Kids/ contracted Full Case Management Agencies) that are available to serve and support youth in the target population. The initiative will award a limited number of grants up to $30,000 in February 2008 for a grant period of one year. Deadline: December 21. Education, arts & environment programs: the McKenzie Foundation
The McKenzie Foundation encourages and supports nonprofit programs, primarily in the areas of education, health, human services, and cultural and environmental concerns. Grant support is focused into four initiatives: early childhood development, education, the environment, and arts and culture. Applications are accepted year round. GLBTQ WOMEN’S COMMUNITY GRANTS: AQUA FOUNDATION FOR WOMEN
The Aqua Foundation for Women is seeking applications for its 2008 grant cycle. The Foundation offers grants of up to five thousand dollars to Gay, Lesbian, Bisexual, and Transgender (GLBTQ) or GLBTQ friendly organizations for projects that (1) benefit the LBT women's community; (2) promote the awareness of LBT women's issues within the broader community; (3) encourage a positive self-image and understanding among people who are LBT women; and (4) address a priority need or interest identified by the Aqua Foundation for Women from grant cycle to grant cycle. Deadline: January 19, 2008. The Miami-Dade County Mom and Pop Small Business Grant Program is accepting applications for fiscal year 2007-2008 to provide financial and technical assistance to qualifying small businesses approved for funding in Miami-Dade County.
