Apply to the Sun-Sentinel Diversity Venture Fund
The 2008-2009 Sun-Sentinel Diversity Venture Fund grant application and guidelines are now available. The Sun-Sentinel Diversity Venture Fund is a partnership among the Sun-Sentinel Company, the United Way of Broward County, Leadership Broward and the Community Foundation of Broward.
Priority will be given to programs that reach people of diverse backgrounds, cultures, education and lifestyles and clearly make a difference in the community that:
• Address unmet diverse populations’ needs;
• Use collaboration to enhance/expand services;
• Create, establish and/or strengthen an existing program that has a diverse component;
• Use creative and innovative approaches to achieve positive outcomes;
• Fill gaps in services;
• Incorporate accountability and evaluation methods to improve outcomes so that targeted audiences gain new knowledge, increase skills, improve conditions, change status or change behavior.

The application deadline is 4:00 p.m. on March 27, 2008. Applicants will be notified by mail by July 2008.
Pre-Application Information Session
The Nonprofit Resource Center will host a pre-application information session on February 14 to assist new applicants or those unfamiliar with the application process. Full details for this session can be found here.
