New Grant Announcement

Grants Available for Families Struggling with Child Health-Related Costs
The UnitedHealthcare Children's Foundation has announced that new grants are available to help children who need critical health care treatment, services, or equipment not covered or not fully covered by their parents' health benefit plans.
UHCCF provides grants to families to help pay for child health care services such as speech therapy, physical therapy, occupational therapy sessions, prescriptions, and medical equipment such as wheelchairs, orthotics, and eyeglasses.
Parents and legal guardians may apply for grants of up to $5,000 each for child medical services and equipment by completing an online application at the UHCCF Web site.
To be eligible for grants, children must be 16 years of age or younger. Families must meet economic guidelines, reside in the United States, and be covered by a commercial health benefit plan.

Grants for Children With Disabilities and Health Care for Needy Populations

CVS Caremark Charitable Trust, which supports organizations that serve children under 21 with disabilities, welcomes non-profits to apply for two funding opportunities: one for working with children with disabilities and the other for providing health care to needy populations. Applications accepted through June 15. Grants should address the following: accessibility to physical activity; early intervention; and health and rehabilitative services. Miami Art Museum (MAM) invites providers and families to its MAM in the Neighborhood kick-off party on Sunday, May 18, from 12-5 PM. The non-profit Community Casemanagement Inc. teaches kids K-5 about the environment through its Earth Rangers program. The program cultivates awareness of climate and environment, while inspiring youth to become environmental stewards. The Mattel Foundation welcomes applications for its Domestic Grantmaking Program, which provides funding for organizations benefiting children in the United States.
